Born on “the front page of the internet”, the /r/CovidMapping community sprang up around a shared desire to spread accurate, up to date information about the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and spread. What started as a trickle soon became a flood as Reddit users began to flood the page with news and updates from around the world.

          We moved to our Discord in order to better facilitate a team of users as our numbers quickly grew past 100 and even 200 volunteers
